How to : Fix Broken/Cracked Eyeshadows

Hello everybody!
In this post I'm going to show you how I mend my broken eyeshadow.

So I've got here my favorite MNY eyeshadow that I use basically everyday as a brow highlight. I knocked it of my bathroom counter and it cracked into pieces. So that's what it looks like now, it's just completely in pieces.... but no worries!! I can fix it!! All I need is rubbing alcohol, a toothpick,a Q-tip and a tissue.

The first thing you need to is to use the toothpick to brake the eyeshadow even more.

Then use the Q-tip to turn the little pieces into a fine powder. Make sure you break any blobs.

Now you're going to need alcohol. Basically any kind of alcohol will work. I used rubbing alcohol but just go for anything which has more than 30% alcohol. (even vodka!)

Pour just enough alcohol in the eyeshadow that it will turn into a thick paste not a liquid. (If you do put more than enough it's not a big deal. You just have to wait a little bit longer for the alcohol to evaporate until it's a paste.)

Then just drop the pan on a hard surface a few times in order to smooth out the surface. Once you've got the surface looking pretty much smooth just set the eyeshadow aside and wait for the alcohol to evaporate until the eyeshadow is dry to touch.
To check if your eyeshadow is dry to touch just take your finger and gently touch the surface. If your finger comes away without too much product on it then it's ready for the next step.

Now it's time to press the shadow even more.  Just take a tissue and press down on the shadow with your fingers. Just make sure you press down gently because the eyeshadow is not completely set yet and you don't want to crack it all over again. You can also clean up the sides to achieve a neater result. When you're done pressing the eyeshadow just set it aside and let it dry for a few more hours, probably over night just to be sure.

And that's it! You're done! What used to be a cracked eyeshadow is now fixed, ready to use as you would normally use, without being all over your make-up bag!
So, what do you usually do with your broken eyeshadows, because I'm sure you all have a bunch! If you use a different method to mend your cracked make-up please let me know!
Thank you all for stopping by!
