The Body Shop All-In-One BB Cream Review

Not too long ago the Body Shop launched the All-In-One BB Cream (Color Adapting Tinted Cream) as a part of the All-In-One make up collection which also contains face base, concealer and blush.

The packaging of the TBS BB Cream is a metallic squeeze tube with a twist off top(25ml). It comes in three shades : 01 is the lightest with pink undertones perfect for fair skin. A bit too light for me though. Shade 02 is for mid skin tones (which is the one I ended up getting) and 03 for darker skin tones. (Both 02 and 03 have settle yellow undertones).
This product claims to be an all in one product providing 24h hydration ,a light to medium coverage without clogging the pores, an even finish and color adapting to you skin tone.

The BB Cream itself is a white thin textured cream (more on the looser, runny side I would say) with tiny bids of pigment that burst when you apply it on your skin.

The coverage of the product is similar to what a good tinted
moisturizer would offer, it is a bit build-able though. I'm having a good skin period at the moment so the coverage of the BB Cream is quite enough for me but you would definitely need concealing if your dealing with blemishes or breakouts.
The color adapting technology does work to some extend, you need to use the right shade though and I'm a bit concerned that when I loose my summer tan, shade 02 would be a bit dark for me.
The hydration that the BB Cream offers is not enough for my combination to dry skin so I need to use a moisturizer underneath. But then the finish becomes a bit too dewy so it definitely needs to be set with a powder, unless you are going for a no make-up dewy look (which I like a lot!). In that case I just powder the T-zone and I'm good to go! For an oily skin I would recommend no moisturizer underneath and just a light dusting of setting powder on top.
I've been using it every day at work for the last 10 days and I must admit that it has a very good staying power. It does become a bit shinny though after 2-3 hours. What I don't like is that it has no SPF which means that you have to concern about that too. So moisturizer and sun block and the BB Cream and a setting powder may be too much for me on a daily base. That's why I wouldn't use it during the summer when I prefer a light face. But since the weather is getting cooler now I don't mind.
What I like a lot about TBS BB Cream is that it makes my skin even and fresh looking. I have same large pores around my nose and they did look smaller after using the product.
In conclusion I must say that I did enjoy using TBS BB Cream. Since I'm going through I phase of a no make-up looks this product was perfect for that. It left my skin looking effortlessly fresh and clean. Do try it if you are looking for a good tinted moisturizer. Do not try it of you need high coverage or you have too oily skin since the finish is quite dewy.
Have you tried this ALL-In-One BB Cream? Do share!

The Repeat Button

Hello there!
How is everyone doing? I hope you all have a wonderful weekend so far!
The weather is finally getting a bit cooler here and I'm very excited to see the first fall leaves falling!
So this is the song that I keep listening lately : Lana Del Rey - Born To Die. I just love her voice and how it's kind of a sad but very romantic song at the same time. My favorite lyrics are :
"Come and take a walk on the wild side
Let me kiss you hard in the pouring rain
You like your girls insane

The Body Shop Bloggers Event

Hello everybody!
I was very excited to have the opportunity to attend a Beauty Bloggers event that was hosted by The Body Shop. It was my very first bloggers event...so I guess I'm officially a beauty blogger now! When I started blogging a few months ago, I never imagined the opportunities that blogging would give me. I never anticipated that I would be able to go to amazing events like this one, learn about exciting things and meet very interesting people! I was super excited when I was invited, because The Body Shop is an iconic beauty brand and I do own a few products that I absolutely love!
The super star of the night was the new All-In-One BB Cream. It comes in a small shiny tube (very luxurious package may I say) that is small enough to fit into even a tiny purse. As I was testing it for the first time, I was startled to see a white cream coming out of the tube. And then the magic happened! When I stared rubbing it on my hand it turned flesh-colored on my skin! I must admit that I've never seen anything similar before. If you would like a full review of the product please let me know!
Then the Tea Tree Pore Minimizer was introduced to us. You might be familiar with The Body Shop's best seller Tea Tree Oil. The Tea Tree Pore Minimizer is an addition to their current tea tree range. This product is targeted to reduce pore's size, mattify the skin and redefine your skin's texture. I don't know if it will work for me but it did work perfectly on a lime! I hope that you can see the difference between the two halfs of the lime.
The Scents Of The World Collection was then to be seen...and smelled of course!I've been a fan of The Body Shop's fragrances since my teen years and I'm amazed that every year they bring out new scents that always capture my attention. This year they launched Scents Of The World, their first collection containing 100% organic essence and globally sourced natural extracts.
The fragrance collection includes :
There is one scent for every taste in this collection. If you have a hard time choosing which one fits you better, here's a little help quoted from The Body Shop :
For a truly exotic escape, choose Madagascan Vanilla Flower, a sensual oriental that transports you to a sun-drenched tropical island.
Otherwise, refresh yourself with Amazonian Wild Lily, a crisp aquatic that brings you right into the heart of the rain-kissed jungle.
Revel in a moonlit Mughal garden with Indian Night Jasmine, a seductive oriental,
or take in the sweet scent of a Japanese spring with the romantic fruity-floral Japanese Cherry Blossom.
For an encounter like no other, choose Atlas Mountain Rose and experience the freshness of dawn in the Valley of Roses with this bright floral scent.

The Body Shop has prepared a little goodie bag for us all! If you want to see what was included stay tuned!

My Summer Holiday Breakfast

Hello everybody!
Breakfast has always been my most important meal, it's the boost of energy that I need to stay active during the day. On my regular daily routine, the time that I eat every meal is pretty much fixed, so a bowl of cereals would give me the energy that I need until my next snack. But  that wasn't the case during holidays since I was finishing my breakfast without even knowing when I will get the chance to put any kind of food in my system again. That's the reason I needed that something extra to get me going this last month, yet I wanted to stay on the healthy side so here's what I ended up eating almost every morning.

I know what you think...anything would taste yummy with that view! But believe me, it actually tasted very good!
Here's my recipe for my champion's holiday breakfast!
- Fat free Greek yoghurt
- 1/2 banana
- fig
- 1/2 peach
- 1/2 pear
- 6-7 tablespoons oatmeal
- 2-3 teaspoons honey
- cinnamon

What about you? What did you eat during your holidays? And do you have any good and quick recipes for breakfast?
