How to : Fix Broken/Cracked Eyeshadows

Hello everybody!
In this post I'm going to show you how I mend my broken eyeshadow.

So I've got here my favorite MNY eyeshadow that I use basically everyday as a brow highlight. I knocked it of my bathroom counter and it cracked into pieces. So that's what it looks like now, it's just completely in pieces.... but no worries!! I can fix it!! All I need is rubbing alcohol, a toothpick,a Q-tip and a tissue.

The first thing you need to is to use the toothpick to brake the eyeshadow even more.

Then use the Q-tip to turn the little pieces into a fine powder. Make sure you break any blobs.

Now you're going to need alcohol. Basically any kind of alcohol will work. I used rubbing alcohol but just go for anything which has more than 30% alcohol. (even vodka!)

Pour just enough alcohol in the eyeshadow that it will turn into a thick paste not a liquid. (If you do put more than enough it's not a big deal. You just have to wait a little bit longer for the alcohol to evaporate until it's a paste.)

Then just drop the pan on a hard surface a few times in order to smooth out the surface. Once you've got the surface looking pretty much smooth just set the eyeshadow aside and wait for the alcohol to evaporate until the eyeshadow is dry to touch.
To check if your eyeshadow is dry to touch just take your finger and gently touch the surface. If your finger comes away without too much product on it then it's ready for the next step.

Now it's time to press the shadow even more.  Just take a tissue and press down on the shadow with your fingers. Just make sure you press down gently because the eyeshadow is not completely set yet and you don't want to crack it all over again. You can also clean up the sides to achieve a neater result. When you're done pressing the eyeshadow just set it aside and let it dry for a few more hours, probably over night just to be sure.

And that's it! You're done! What used to be a cracked eyeshadow is now fixed, ready to use as you would normally use, without being all over your make-up bag!
So, what do you usually do with your broken eyeshadows, because I'm sure you all have a bunch! If you use a different method to mend your cracked make-up please let me know!

Card making!

Hello everybody!
This post is about one of my hobbies! You can guess from the title that it's about card making.
I love giving handmade cards to the ones I love. I just find it more personal and unique than buying one. I like spending time thinking about what kind of card would suit to each person. What kind of shapes, colors and patterns I should use to make a card that would be perfect for the person I will give it to. So I wanted to share some of my latest creations and give you maybe some inspiration to start making your own homemade cards!

This is a card I made for my sweet valentine (obviously!).

Father's day.

 Anniversary card.

A card for a friend's sweet baby girl.

A birthday card.

Easter card.

Christmas card.
There are a lot of YouTube channels about handmade cards where you can find tutorials and get some inspiration. My favorite is this one! You can find so many beautiful ideas there.
If you do make a card please send me a picture! I would love to see it and post it on my blog!

A Special Present!

Hello everybody!
Today I want to share with you a special present that I was given yesterday. It was the last day of one of my students as he will be moving to another city in September and he will be not coming back to school. In order to say good-bay he gave me a little present and a kiss! Needless to say that I will miss him soooo much as he was one of my very favorite students!

You can find the link to the online shop here (www.adelocreations.etsy.com). There was a 10% off coupon code (YELLOW) so if you feel like ordering something feel free to use it!

Easy rider weekend! (a photo album)

Ahhh weekend! What a lovely word! You feel happier just by saying it out loud!
The weekend is over now but...it's ok! When you have such a great time during the weekend, Monday mornings aren't that bad!

Since the temperature was over 35 degrees Celsius during the last days we decided to take a little break from the city noise and the extreme heat and go for a mini motorcycle trip! So we packed quickly and we were ready to ride! (imagine me trying to pack ALL my staff in a motorcycle bag.......not pleasant!)

This is our black beauty! I must admit (as crazy as this might sound for a girl) that I'm emotionally attached to this bike.  It's not that I'm a big bike lover or a speed maniac. But this little baby has accompanied us to so many unique places and unforgettable experiences. Yes I know that it is dangerous sometimes and blah blah blah and we did have an accident once that left me with a cracked ankle and a bunch of bruises. But still I can't say no to a motor road trip! I just love that crazy feeling of freedom that you get when you are on a bike!

How about you? How did you spend the weekend? Any excited experiences to share?
Thank you all for stopping by!
Happy Monday everybody!
